    Default Russian jacket Information request

Bought this a while back with the intention of restoring the buttons, I haven't gotten around to it yet but I have always been curious as to what this jacket is. it was sold to me as a Russian Calvery jacket. there is the remains of what I assume was a patch on one sleave. has what looks like theater stamps in it I think the one pictured translates to Wardrobe ( sorry for the rotated image I am not sure how to solve this issue.)

To prevent mass neck sprains, the simple solution is to edit your images in some way (I tend to crop them slightly), and save the changes.
This seems to prevent unwanted rotation.

Regarding the tunic, it may be a form of ‘French’ tunic, popular in the 1930s, though the stand collar is certainly unusual. I’m not entirely sure it is even military (need to check the regulations). You are correct in identifying the wardrobe stamp.
    Certainly an interesting one...

It's just a theater prop. Those. the jacket was made for theatrical productions and was used for its intended purpose, i.e. in the theatre. It has no historical value.
