That German Soldiers where decorated with Croatian Medal´s was not really common, but also not unusual.

More common where Romanian and Bulgarian Medals.

The same Soldier also was decorated with the Iron Trefoil III. Class.
I also own this medal together with the document.

Here I show you another "Small Silver Ante Pavelic' Medal for Bravery" (MALU SREBNRU).
The diameter of the medal: 35 mm

Sometimes (not always), the Malu Srebnru was also made of silver and provided with appropriate hallmarks.
Here: TK for Theodor Krivak, Varaždin
Later, due to material savings, made of cheaper material.

The "Large Silver Ante Pavelic´ bravery medal", (VELIKU SREBNRU), was always made of silver and had a diameter of 41 mm.
AFAIK about 800 awards.
So, if you see a large one without hallmarks, then this is definitely a copy!

Ante Pavelić Bravery Medal, Small Silver Grade Medal

Kolajna Ante Pavelić za junaštvo.
Instituted in 1941.

Constructed of silver.
The obverse consisting of an etched portrait of Ante Pavelić facing left, surrounded by inscription POGLAVNIK ANTE PAVELIC (The Leader Ante Pavelić).
The reverse with the coat of arms of the Independent State of Croatia (NDH), along with the inscription ‘ZA HRABROST’ (for bravery) and dated ‘1941’.

Measuring 35.02 mm in diameter.

Sometimes hallmarked with a goose on the edge also the maker.

Gorgeous items. I recently bought a bronze Ante Pavelic medal in good condition and I am very happy to be able to find it.
