Spanish Blue Squadron pilot wing
My latest Spanish pilot wing arrived today and it's a beauty. These wings are usually associated with the Condor Legion but also with Blue squadron volunteers in Russia. The German version L.C. wing is quite different with a stylized eagle and pinback attachment. This is a Spanish made wing with the traditional clasp mechanism. I believe this style of wing was phased out in 1946 when the eagle was removed from the center but of course was still worn by pilots afterwards.

I was lucky enough to score another one of these Spanish pilot wings for a decent price. This one is a pilot / observer wing missing the back clasp mechanism. It has no maker marks but it's a beautiful addition to my Legion Condor / Blue Squadron wing collection.

Glad you did because I missed this the first time around! Very nice Al!
