Question Ustasha document signed by a "minister"

    Hello gents,

I just remember that I got a bunch of these Croatian WW2 documents from a collector friend. I do not know what to do with them. This document appears to be signed by some Croatian minister. The document looks original to me. What do you think about it? Who is the minister? What might this document be worth?

    Hello,

Did some research. The document is signed by Mirko Puk. Ministar Pravosuđa i bogoštovlja (Minister of justice and religion) between 16. April 1941 - 10 oct 1942.

According to the german wikipedia he did not acquire this title before 1942, but I find this information to be inaccurate. He was also one of the main architects of the extermination camp Jasenovac.

    Best regards,
    Tyler

Mirko Puk was a viciously racist psychopath. Had he been taken alive at the war's end, he almost certainly would have been tried and executed for his crimes. Unfortunately, he cheated the hangman and, reportedly, killed himself rather than be taken prisoner by Tito. Your document is dated December 19,1941. I am thinking that the Wiki site simply rounded off his office ascension date to "1942" since it was very close.
A nice document. I like it. If you ever want to part with it and your other Ustasha papers, let me know.
