Just to make it clear, the Eagle's Nest has NOT been demolished. I believe member Composite was thinking of the Berghof...
Regarding a visit to the Kehlsteinhaus, check the weather forecast regularly before you head there...if in luck, prepare for an amazing experience...the views are stunning...unfortunately, the weather can ruin the experience all too easily so if you are fortunate enough to be in the area for any longer period of time, take note of the skies.
