Sadly who knows , the Town of Vimouiers maybe doesn't actaully have the amount needed to carry it out .
The gates of hell were opened and we accepted the invitation to enter" 26/880 Lance Sgt, Edward Dyke. 26th Bn Northumberland Fusiliers , ( 3rd Tyneside Irish )

Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader

Surely Saumur tank museum could start a restoration programme?

In conjunction with out tank museum, I'm sure some thing could be sorted.

Imagine the Vimoutiers Tiger at Bovington?

    It could be done.

Hopefully it will be restored sympathetically. Also it should rightly stay where it is, this is where it was left in 1944 after all.

A proper paint job would at least be some thing, surely some funding could get some welding/restoration done.
