To add onto this, I have found ONE example of the arm patch, however it differs from the one I have posted.
Anyone know anything about these too?
No experience with these but tunic and collar patches look like they were made yesterday.
Thanks for the reply Marcel!
This tunic comes from a very well known dealer, and the material from what I’ve seen checks out with the NKVD Militsiya tunic on CollectRussia’s website, the stitching on the patch is also very similar to NKVD ‘egg’ badges from what I’ve seen.
It came from a private collection in St Petersburg in the early 90s (apparently!), which possibly might explain the condition?
I’m most likely going to purchase it, and if it turns out to be fake, it’s a nice display piece to say the least!
It’s neat
Mind saying what movie it is? I am curious
Thank you all for your replies!
I have gotten more photos for your review, I personally believe this piece to be authentic, as the seller is (in my opinion) extremely reputable and the ownership records of the tunic date back to the very early 1990s.
Again, opinions are welcome. I have compared the material to the RKM tunic listed on CollectRussia's website, and the material checks out. The buttons are also the correct type for this tunic.
