Doesn't appear to be military
It looks to be a German-made throwing knife. Not military connected.

Definitely post war as this company Carl Schleiper was still in business up until 2002 making knives. A quality company which was a Remscheid Co. connected to the Ohligs district of Solingen. They had 33 varied types of logos ,, 2 of which are commonly seen as the one that you posted above and the one seen on NSKK daggers ( pic below ) . I agree with William , looks to be a throwing knife. Larry

I don't believe it's a current blade, but it reminds me of the 'Pigsticker'
style knives the EK company was selling about 20 years ago.
It might also be a re-worked putty knife.........
