Hi Members, want to show this RAD dagger. I think its an early piece, because the marker is RAD stamped. Can anybody confirm this? Weight is 1004 Gramm.
Thanks.
Nikolaus

Nickolaus- Nice RAD Hewer -The maker is Eickhorn and the Rad stamp as you call it is actually the RAD inspection mark initiated in late 1934 . Your Hewer is the standard type which was used throughout the III Reich, the early Hewer(Full Stage RAD) has the complete grip covered in antler horn this was produced in early 1934 but was quickly changed to save material to the type you have. The RAD Hewer tradition started in early 1934.

that a nice one.
Really beautiful things they are. matty
A great looking dagger. I love the weight and feel of these. Here is one with some other RAD items. This one has the early style hanger. These early hangers weren't heavy duty enough to support the weight and were replaced with a much nicer looking hanger.
