Re: german fighting knife
knife looks ok to me and so the scabbard. These knives usually have a LW waffenamt, can you ask for a maker marking picture?

Re: german fighting knife
Try to get pics without the confusing background.

Re: german fighting knife

Re: german fighting knife
Don't know but will check with some people around here (south Florida-I leave for Canada in 2 weeks). There is a post about the SS Nord Division in Karelia with some pics of excavated stuff and in one ther appears to be the hilt of a knife similar to yours.

Re: german fighting knife
IMO this knife is a fake !
There´re similar knive´s, showing the Wingen-Logo and, (marked on the reverse side of the blade), an RB-No., (Reichsbetriebs-Nummer).
"Kampfmesser der Wehrmacht-Luftwaffe" alway´s show three rivets in the grip and the groove´s in the grip-plates are completely different !

Re: german fighting knife
I think Reibert has a sharp eye. I overlooked that detail but he's actually right.
I don't know if the knife is fake though, but indeed we would need closer and more detailed pics

Re: german fighting knife
i think the scabbard is real but the knife looked a bit tricky to me. Thanks for your opinions guys, i pass on this one. greetings Eddy

Re: german fighting knife
lightyone
If you look at the second pic of the Nord Div Karelia post just below the helmets on the right side you can make out a knife hilt with 3 rivets.
