    Greetings. Can you help me with a question? I was recently offered a ww2 german diver knife. As I am not familiar with this type of knife, I would like to know your opinion about the originality. I also had doubts about a weld in the scabbard

    From the markings I would say it's not a WW II German knife, and most probably an Imperial era Austrian diver's knife. Best Regards, Fred

    Thanks a lot for the help. But were these Austrian knives also used by German forces? Can you tell me if this is an original piece, judging by the pictures?

    Not German WW2, Imperial Austrian. August Luneburg is a known distributor. WKC mark is a little odd, but probably early form of the type more familiar below.
