The scabert looks a bit to good to be original?
The scabbard may have been over cleaned but I see nothing that appears not to be authentic.
Looks good .
Other thoughts and comments welcome.

Nice original RAD EM hewer reflecting an issue number which should also be on the scabbard. The abbreviation next to the number reflects the issue location. Cant remember which one this is. The RAD had only a couple issue locations like "Fu"(Furth) etc.

I agree with Horst, the only issue I see is perhaps someone was a bit too zealous with their cleaning of the scabbard. Construction wise though, it looks period. I've always liked the unit marked ones myself.
The issuance abbreviations are
Bn=Berlin
Br=Braunschweig
Fu=Furth
Ma=Marburg
Sa=Salzburg
E=Erfurt
F=Frankfurt
M/L=Metz / Lothringen
There may be others, but as of yet no other information, Nice Hewer...

Is there an issue number also on the scabbard?? Dont see it in the picture provided.
As to the abbreviation designation I think Ma stands for Mannheim not Marburg - Ma is still today the designation for Mannheim Germany.

I would think if there was it would be easily visible on the opening of the scabbard, so , perhaps a mismatch, of note, on mine there was also the last three digits just below the top inlay. JMO

No issue number on the scabbard.
