Not used in a Clint Eastwood Western...the end result of this thread will be an ugly feeling....as seen in the photos below..showing the minute differences..between what is Good and Bad..in detail.
First I give credit to member "Den70" of the GDC forum..for showing these differences..in photo detail..of the Teno Leaders dagger.
Comparison TN Leader. - GermanDaggers.com
This dagger is highly desirable among collectors..and quite difficult to find..as they are quite rare................BUT not anymore..as period dies are being used to pump out these near perfect daggers...and easily fooling the seasoned collector. It is frightening..that these daggers..unknowingly have leaked into some major collections..and through some reputable dealers..also unknowing..of its true identity.
These type of daggers..must be approached with "Extreme caution"..one has to stop..and get past the "Boobs and Butts"..we see first..when looking at these daggers...yes they are very attractive...and every collector would love to have one of these types.
Dont think with the wrong head just because a dealer..or auction has one of these for sale...and by all means this is no attack on any dealer..this is an attack type of study against the Eastern Europe countries who are producing these high end fakes.
Below are photos of a side by side comparison..of the Teno leaders dagger..the " Good, Bad..and it will leave an "Ugly" feeling in the pit of your stomach.
Regards and Thankyou to the GDC. Larry
