unknown dagger - forestry ?

All.... Need some input on this dagger that recently came into my possesion. It looks like a German forestry dagger because of the 3 brass pieces on the grip. The grip is ivory, the fittings are gilt washed, it has a navy style blade that has a gold washed ricasso with a large capital letter G stamped there. The scabbard fittings are also gold washed, and it is made of leather with a central peak, front and back. It is just a little over 14 1/2 inches long, out of the scabbard. Any ideas guys ? Nope........ only if you wanted to see more scans..... All you have to do is what you just did....... reply to the thread..... And is there something wrong with it anyway ?
