    Great stuff!! Here's a photo of an American G.I. on a German Motorcycle, in front of a DAF flag,and wearing a German helmet.

    Second picture is just a posing soldier, I did not think GI really reissued German helmets, and the pictures with the jeep- it looks like two US POWs on the back of the jeep, and jeep is just a captured

    The jeep is a British Airborne jeep, note the cut off bumper and the quick release nut on the steering wheel also the British tac. number. On conclusion I think this maybe a picture from Arnhem, John.

    It also looks like an Enfield buttplate in the carrier on the hood.

    Interesting to see these photos. It suprises me that soldiers would wear them for anything more than posing for photos though- to me, the most distinctive element of a german soldier's appearance was the stahlhelm, and I would have thought it would be way too much of a risk to wear one. It seems like a friendly-fire hazard. They definitely stand out, I've always loved the design.
