It's a good looking helmet and one I would like to have in my collection, however from what I've seen this leather chinstrap does not belong to Ssh36s issued to Soviet troops. Karabanov only has the webbed chinstraps pictured, and Clawson mentions this strap being part of helmets issued to Spain.
