Soviet Pilotka with piping
Hello, I came across this pilotka advertised as a WWII Soviet Officer's O/S cap. This is not my area of collecting but I was hoping someone could help authenticate it for me as I like all types of cloth headgear from the era. I read on one of the threads that cloth piping and cloth stars were abolished on January 18, 1941. would this be a pre "Great Patriotic War" cap? And if so what does this color of piping indicate? Any help is appreciated.

Appears to be the raspberry red of Infantry.

Aldo,
I like it. Let's see what others have to say.

The different coloured body cloth, beneath the skirt, is fairly standard. It features in most of mine, too.
You have a splendid example there. Jolly well done!
(I shall add some images - when I get a chance)!

Thank you, that’s good to hear,

Im sorry, but the stamp is period incorrect. It looks unusual and poorly reproduce. Also, the star is post-war.

An authentic example of the stamp and star would be helpful for visual comparison. Thank you
