    My fellow collectors ,

    Not to long ago I got this nice SSh 40 in good worn condition for
    only € 35.-.
    For some reason, I think that this helmet might have been used by some troops
    in the Balkan wars .....

    the star looks exactly like the red star on my Yugo helmet, and the liner looks post war, I think the possibility of being used in the Balkin wars is probably true, it's definitely cold war era or later since it also has the Y strap fitted on a M40 shell

    I like the well used look and field wear, looks good in a display

    Indeed it is the red star that make me think that this helmet might have been used in yugoslavia.
    In the very first picture I posted this helmet is placed next to a NE44 Yugo helmet to show the similarities of the red stars.

    I would like to hear what other collectors think.

    why not , though the stars may have different dimensions

    "Y-strap", (chin-strap), looks like the GDR, (NVA), one ...

    IMO used so in the Balkan war.
