Seems like a nice converted shell, but I'am not sure about the white paint and if the liner is original to the shell. The chinstrap are also late addition

I don't really like it. Postwar strap but white paint looks odd to me as well. It looks like if it was painted over a rusty surface, especially on the inner rim.
Never heard of this being done before.

for me, not good. The helmet has a lot of rust points while the inner fabric does not wear this ..

I will go one further... Not only do I think the liner is replaced, I do not think it is even real. The sweat band is way too wrinkled onto itself to be properly constructed and fitted. Chinstrap is from a post war Ssh40 as has been pointed out already. I think a clever restoration of what was likely a relic or near relic condition shell. That thick white paint would surely cover up a lot of pitting.
