Gents, just for reference here are detailed pics of a DAK buckle, typical hook and detailed photos of the web, stitching etc, always good for comparing against possible fakes

Hello and welcome to the forum, just for future ref can you post queries like this into a new thread please rather than use a teaching thread? In ref to the buckle and belt, both are original, the buckle is made by Gustav Brehmer, Markneukirchen, you can tell this by the intertwined GB on the buckle. The belt is original but I would need better pics of where the tongue is stitched to the main leather belt, it may have been repaired at some point but still an original piece

For me the tongue has been restitched at some point but still both original. I would not pay 200 Euros for this set, too much money IMO

I'm wondering who the maker is on the lower one? It looks like an later Assmann but I'm not sure, the swastika looks a little bit thinner than Assmann M4/39 but it may be me eyes that's fooling me!
And thank you Ben for the thread! If the World Wide Web ever closes down, this is the most important thread to save to the computer
The bottom one looks like a Assmann eagle but rear pics would confirm the buckle maker

One of the best forum tutorials I have seen.
Thank you for your wonderful posts
