collecting buckles

I only bought three buckles bid on about another dozen. The prices were about what I expected but the auction fee kick them up pretty high. What really surprised me was the tabbed first pattern Dransfeld Luftwaffe buckle. $1650 euros that is over $2000 with the fees. Am I missing something ?

Hello colleagues.
I dropped the SA buckle with the prong markings, but managed to buy at least 10 other buckles. Indeed, the prices of some buckles have risen a lot, but they are still from an established collection. From the autumn of 2023, auction prices went way up. Perhaps something reasonably priced can be picked up at a show or directly from another collector. I am uploading a photo of a Dransfeld Luftwaffe buckle that sold last year for $1,500. I don't know what the real price of such a buckle is at the moment.
