This is I think an extremely interesting DJ buckle and to be perfectly honest, I have never seen a Sig Rune with such a distinctive design before. Having said that, there are goodness knows how many representations of the symbol.

Perhaps a Forum member who is familiar with DJ “variants” may wish to chip in here. I must admit that when I first saw this buckle, the box by certain features reminded me a little of the well documented ones, usually marked GES. GESCH. E. F. WIEDMANN FRANKFURT/M.S. This manufacturer still remains contentious to some collectors, as are the so called variant Sig Runes sometimes found on Wiedmann marked boxes.

A “tired and distressed” buckle by any definition of course, however I wonder if there are any markings to the reverse, otherwise hidden by the rust or whatever it is.
