Looking for some opinions on this Gau Essen buckle...

Hi everyone. I'd like to get some eyes on this buckle for opinions. I own quite a lot of buckles, all varying in quality, wear and detail, and this certainly looks original to my eyes. That said, I know nothing about these buckles specifically. The detail is crisp, and shows wear in all the right spots. There is an odd stamp ("Y 44") where a maker's mark is usually applied. Any feedback on this is appreciated.
