Looks like a very nice set but isn’t that a RBN number. The 42 is just part of the code and not the year. I don’t believe they were punching the holes into the belt in 42. The catch looks like it is a H Aurich buckle.
I'm not to sure, but I've seen a few similar examples to the one. Thank you for the correction on the number as well!
I concur with Kirby, further down the belt is there hols where a tongue was stitched on? Nice Aurich buckle BTW

The stitching is where the belt hook is attached. I have had several of these late war belts. I think a lot of these unissued belts survived the war. A lot of 10-12 mint one sold on Ratisbon auction about a year ago.
