What a legend. Nice price too!
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated

Thanks tank, the bore looks really nice, probably never saw much action being made that late in the war.A lot of these late ww2 Garands were used in Korea, this one must have sat in the rack most of its life ,its not all beat up.

Beautiful M1, and you got it for a steal! I broke out my copy of Scott Duff's M1 Garand book just to look up some of your parts. Barrel is March '45 and receiver is February '45. That stock cartouche would have started around 3,3XX,XXX. The operating rod's number is right for this piece, and the bolt is a "12" revision that was used mainly through mid-1944. The trigger housing though has been replaced with a post-war manufacture, but it's normal to find some replacement parts on an M1. They kept those babies serviceable past the Vietnam War. Thanks once again for sharing your finds with us! You got yourself a real nice one there!
