I believe it's for the Bavarian contract Steyr-Hahn pistols. One order placed in 1916 the second in 1918. No idea as to price.
Best regards,

The first holster is the one I was refering to. No idea what #2 is for. Both Bavarian contracts used the same holster (#1). Sorry for not being clear.

Hi Len. No apologies needed and thanks for the info.
Was it the Bavarian Police that placed the order or was it the army, would you know?
Any way of finding this info?

Bavarian Army. It may be maker marked "AWM" at the base of the closure strap.

Hi Habicht and thanks for that.
Unfortunately no Makers Marks are visible.
Looking closer at the other one it has 'Bull Dog Regd' inscribed on the button.

Amazingly a piece of card has just emerged from the deceased's belongings which appears to detail the Pistol, as follows:-

Method of operation - Locked breech hammer fitted recoil action with breech load
Capacity - 8 Rounds
Markings left of slide P-08 Steyr 1916 - 1918

Capacity in Magazine - 8 Rounds

Re: Can anyone identify please? Steyr Hahn perhaps?
Yes, it seems the holster did hold a Bavarian Army Steyr-Hahn. The 1918 date and the serial # without a letter suffix would confirm that. The additional "P08" marking indicates it was later taken into Nazi police service and coverted from the original caliber to 9mm Parabellum. I recently saw a similar rig at a local antique shop. The holsters are definitely hard to find , good score!
