Like the AK-47....These weapons were readilly handed out to anyone who wanted Soviet aid. Cool to see the MP44 in colour. Goes to show that it was a great weapon if it was used well into the 80's.

I have seen pics of them in Lebanon too, but I do recall where now and I never saved the pics.
They were, of course, used by the DDR, with my own MP44 coming from there.

In the last foto you can see also a ww2 italian submachine gun ( Moschetto Automatico Beretta mod.38) and also an italian Moschetto 91 for cavalry...
really amazing pictures!!!
looking at the pics of the mp 44 its easy to see where the inspiration for the H&K G3 came from
