    Hi All

Just wanted to share some pics of my deact MP44 I've had for the last couple of years. From what I can understand it was made in 1945 by Erma under the 1945 ‘af’ code, it only has matching numbers to the receiver and trigger assembly, but I’m happy with that.

Hope you enjoy and any comments/insights welcome...

What an iconic weapon. Nice looking example, shame it’s deactivated.

    Thumbs up

Any MP44 is fine by me.....a historic weapon and a cornerstone of any WWII collection.

What a peach! I prefer the Bakelite grips to the wooden ones.

Stunning! Not an easy one to find, especially nowadays. What spec is it deactivated to?

    Beautiful, congratulations!
I was fortunate to shoot a MP43 several times two weeks ago, along with many other full-auto weapons. The MP43 was definitely the star of the show!

A few deactivated ones here, from this Berlin 1945 photo.

Thanks for all the positive feedback, I'm glad to be able to have this in my collection. I have to say 'in hand' it does feel quite delicate, and quality of metal (1945 mind you!) quite poor, but seeing these being fired (YouTube) they must have been devastating compared to other firearms of the time.

I know nothing about the history of mine, but believe most UK MP44s are either old Yugo or GDR stock sold off on the market.

Maybe I will get a chance to actually fire one in the future...

Nice MP44, good to get a late one too!

It's a very controllable weapon on full automatic, and shoulders well. The hand guard seems to have been an afterthought, as placement of the support hand is less than ideal. That area heats up after a bit.

Unfortunately I can't load the video clip of shooting.
