I have a Lee Enfield and I find it ok, but that's about all, I have tried it with almost every load variation I could think of. The P14 ( if we are talking British ) is a far superior rifle. Come to think of it it's really a beefed up Mauser.
PS, I don't like the locking lugs at the rear of the bolt or the two piece stock. I think it's a bad design. The only features about the Lee Enfield that I do like are the interchangeable bolt heads and detatchable magazine.

I am interested in purchasing a mosin nagant 1891/30 or 1891 but it needs to be a pre-1942 manufacture for a LH display. It need not be in firing order. What price would I expect to pay for a clean, well cared model AND where in the USA would you consider a respectable, honest source to locate a mosin nagant?
They are readily available from many of the wholesale sellers if you have a C&R license. ALso, many are showing up at local gun shows as they are being sold by the crate load to dealers. I picked up a 1929 hex receiver last year for just over $120 in wonderful shape.
Drop me a PM if you need more info.
