A one of a kind gift shotgun.
So, the story goes that a girl worked especially hard throughout elementary and middle school. In her sophomore year of high school, her father decided to give a very special gift. In his position working for a firearms company, he gave up his breaks and lunch to assemble from hand-picked parts, a shotgun to give his daughter. So, one night was devoted to selecting the receiver, furniture, internal parts and barrel. The next night was all assembly. Then he wrote her a note in the bottom of the box, included a build sheet and assembly line tag, and packed the gun up using his own pack code on the box label. From parts to finished firearm, no one but he handled the gun.
From the factory the gun was shipped to a gun store in the local area so the gift could be given. Without knowing, the young girl was taken to the gun shop and shown the gun in the box. While her father pretended to look at it, she noticed the writing under the packing. And thus she learned that the Remington 20 ga Wingmaster in the box was hers, a reward for all her hard work.
