This p38 was dirty but cleaned up pretty decent, and numbers match, great bore no frosting or pitting.Late second series a block made end of 44,look good?Came from vet or so I was told,no import marks anyway.I like the stamped slide lock lever, about the time these first started appearing,Mauser started using stamped parts late in the war on their weapons ,they worked fine and were cheaper and faster to produce.

    Very nice.

We've been seeing a number of P38's lately. A good thing!

Nice looking example. Most we see are Walther or Spreewerke. Wonder how many were made by M/O. Thanks for sharing your find.

Thanks guys, appreciate it!mauser I think Walther made roughly 600,000, Mauser 300,000 ,and Spreewerk 300,000 so well over a million total made during ww2.
