    No,grips like you describe were never issued on the p35.Early were black,then went to a chocolate brown,last a red brown.Lots of companys made repo grips for these,from the 50s on,like you say sounds like Franzite,seen them on all kinds of pistols.

    Here's what I was talking about. I didn't think any were wartime issue but I thought I would ask. Thanks for the help!

    I have not ever seen that variation but I have not seen them all. The overall quality of the logo is lacking so I am skeptical. Nice gun though. Thanks for posting.

    Probably marked Franzite on the backs, 99.9 % sure they are not original.I have some extra grips for these,yes looks like a nice pistol.
