    While I know Snyder has a bad reputation, I don't know if I would agree with the statement if it wasn't made by Bruckmann it's not legit, because Wellner is noted as having made much of the AH silverware and silver items currently out there and have been well documented in James Yanne's books.

    That, on top of the fact that Hitler (Like Goering) received gifts from many, many people or firms looking to impress or curry favor with him makes the notion there was only one legit source for AH silver unlikely, though I *DO* agree that if a piece isn't Wellner OR Bruckmann, its likely going to be less desirable to many and likely less $$$
