Not a B.O. but related to the subject. I have come across a couple of these plaques over the years & usually they are damaged with the eagle at the top broken off.

I note with interest that one of these plaques is currently for sale over at Ratisbon's, with a maker's sticker to the back reading: 'E. Hegenberg, Buroartikel Grossversand, Nurnberg, Kornerstr. 138'. A long shot, but I wonder would this maker have anything to do with our little Feldhernnhalle ornaments? No way to tell I suppose, but food for thought.

That’s interesting indeed and I imagine this could be the maker (or one of the makers) of the Mahnmal desk ornament.
Could you post some photos here ? I can’t find it on Ratisbon’s website …

Ah ok I thought you were referring to the Mahnmal desk ornament that started this thread... This is why I couldn't find it on ratisbons website
This plaque is more common but still interesting to see the label of the maker or the reseller

No problem. I just figured that given the similar subject matter this maker could have had something to do with the desk ornaments too... I suppose we'll never know.
