Fallschirmjäger 'Kreta' Beer Mug

A recent addition to my collection a nice Fallschirmjäger 'Kreta' Beer Mug. From what I understand, these were awarded
to the III Battallion of Fallschirmjäger Regiment 1 from the Brewery at Gardelagen, their home base. This one is probably
a purchased example, as it doesn't have the writing under the Gardelagen gates, but something that doesn't come up too
often I think.... (Only 400 of the awarded type were produced I think).

A lovely mug to a very interesting unit. I have never seen one before. Distributed for the men of the regiment during their flower parade in Gardelegen for the recent victory taking Kreta.
