Horst; Hitler didn't like boats of any size, but when he had to, he would go aboard. During the early years of his rule, he did use the Grille when he went to the naval show at Kiel and after the navy took her over to be a minelayer, he went by car and watched the events from shore. In-so-far as I know he was never aboard the Ostwind, which was the boat that most Americans think he owned. He didn't own her. He did go aboard the Robert Ley, a cruise ship in the Kraft durch Freude (Strength Through Joy) fleet., shown here.

Here Hitler is with Inge Ley on departure day of the SS Robert Ley on her Maiden Voyage. He left the ship before she got under-way. Dwight

Didn't Göring have a yacht that looked like that? Could it have been mistaken as Hitlers yacht?
