William D Pugliese passed in 1987. He served in the Ninth Air Force during World War II and was band director of the 691st Army Air Force Band and entertained troops throughout Germany including General Patton’s Third Army Rest Center at Berchtesgaden. He and the band had the privilege of attending the Nuremberg Trials in 1946 and saw General Hermann Goring, General Himmler, Admiral Doenitz, Rudolf Hess, and other German Officers.
