A 16" high WWI Heer drummer mounted on a horse, the maker is "Katzhutte" - very fine detail and the overall condition is A-1 . Just picked this up on my recent trip to Germany. Its a great center peice for any Militaria collection.

I wish there was a "drool" smile.......... I have seen this one before, and it is stunning
Vary nice to see wounderful things
Horst, It looks like Allach, did they make a smaller one in the 40s?
Actually this is a pre-war piece and not Third Reich, but its a nice piece. That being said, I have seen and it is mighty rare!! a bisque example with a Wehrmacht breast eagle applied. No doubt correct and a major screamer!!.
Nice catch!!

I will have to look later and check the mark again. But I think we had more info on this and I have handled several of them.
Best,
Kris
I always bow to superior knowledge
Hey Fellas Thanks for your replies and added information - bottom line is that I think this is great and fits real well with my other "Katzhutte" jumpimg horse porcelain.

The mark on that piece starts in 1914 and runs to 1958. I had more info at one time but no longer own he piece.
Best,
Kris
