I mean that the mug you show in the first posting is not period and I show a couple of mine which are period.

I searched the internet. Indeed - this is the type of emblem with a black back background found on steel helmets. But I also found this arm title. This is a copy from original. Only the black background behind the emblem is missing. I do not know - when these bandages were used - at the beginning of the war or after the start of the war. Only one thing can be said - this type of emblem is very rare.
So 'RARE' that there is no documentation of their use, in all my years of collecting / studying the Reichsarbeitsdienst I have never seen one of these in wear, there are some theories as to originality but none that hold any water so to say.. G
