Hi all.
As part of my new sub-direction of collecting (bronze non-wearable medals and plaques) my long sought after Rheinland Räumung medal finally arrived today.
The Rheinland Räumung litterally means ‘Rheinland Liberation’ and took place in 1930 when the Rheinland, a southern part of Germany until then occupied by British, Belgian, French and American troops after WW1, was taken back by German force.
The text on the front ‘Die Knechtschaft hat ein Ende’ means ‘the slavery has (come to) an end’
Very happy with it and just want to share it.
Kind regards
