We already know that when in the month of July 1941 the Wehrmacht occupied the city of Minsk the huge statue of Lenin in the Square was knocked down from its pedestal and taken to Germany where the metal was melted down and reused.











But I have discovered that at least two other statues in the city were recycled.....

They were at one of the doors of an official building that would be used by the German occupiers.
The statues of two young Konsomol pioneers: a boy with a drum and a flag (probably added) and a girl making the salute with her right arm.



Well, removing the boy's flag and with a small modification of the girl's right arm and painting the two statues.... There we have them. A drummer from the Hitler Jugend and an enthusiastic girl from the Bund Deutscher Mädel (BDM) enthusiastically giving the Nazi salute

Both statues were placed on new pedestals adorned with the Reich war flag (boy) and one with the Nationalflagge with the Hakenkreuz (girl). They were placed at another entrance door of the building.

The first thing of all is that I have found out that the images of the tuned statues at the entrance of a building in #39 were not in Minsk, but in Bobruisk. This is another one.
