    Hi there.

This is a great photo of your father, thank you for sharing it with us.

Although I can't help with your question, to me it looks like a couple of the guys are wearing M-1944 overshoes

The M-1944 Overshoes consisted of a flexible rubber sole and rubberized cotton uppers, with a four buckle closure design. The M-1944 overshoes were prized for wear in winter or colder spring and fall conditions, in either mud or slush, and were widely worn by US troops in the Battle of the Bulge, which was fought in appalling winter conditions.

Here is a link with pictures.

    Kind regards,

    Will.

Thanks BC, I figured I would try again. I did get a PM on another forum that I stopped frequenting about a year or so ago. I took a pause from collecting when I sold most of my collection to buy a hunting property. Recently I started to get a little move involved with collecting again, and have started back looking at forums and going to auctions. The poster said he knew the unit and commander of the tank and wanted permission to use the photo. Unfortunately, a year or so passed before I logged back in and saw it. I didn’t receive a reply back and it looks like shortly after he PMed me he stopped posting on that forum.
