Inevitable but true.

However, don't discount the ATB companion volume ' Battle Of The Bulge Through The Lens' by Philip Michael Vorwald. In addition to over 200 pages of 'Then & Nows',it has the great benefit of thumbnail maps of every location. Very time-saving, especially for for some very off-the-beaten track locations.

I still remember with greatpleasure finding this one - the iconic shot from nearly every 'Bulge' book showing a Tiger II passing a line of US POWs. I wondered for years where it was and when we found it down a tiny country by-road near Lanzerath in 2000 I stood in for the POWs, my wife's car kind-of stood in for the Tiger II for one of my all-time favourite T&N's. I'd never - ever - have found it without that book....

I thought that fellow members would like to know that I’m now in possession of my copy of Siegfried Line Then & Now, published by Pen & Sword books. Although the book is not the “coffee table” sized format that will be familiar to owners of After the Battle books it is 312 pages packed with photos and the history of the Westwall. I’m very pleased with it and recommend it to you. This book is not a compilation of previous articles from After the Battle.
