Research help needed. Need name translated to English from German

Trying to research the owner of this Heer book I assume Joseph but not sure.
Good book by the way. Field manual.

You could check the volksbund.
With just a name there’s not a whole lot you can do. Generally when I get just a first and last name on something without any other context I don’t try too hard to research it. You may find a handful of guys that it could belong to but if the last name is common (Joseph definitely is) then you may have less of a handful and more of a long list of possible guys.
Just my two cents. (Also, volksbund only covers some of the German soldiers killed in war, but that’s one of the places I’d start)

Hello Stropp.

There are three entries on the Volksbund for Josef Wörsdörfer and none for Joseph. But as VietnamWarNut says, there isn’t really anything else that can be found out with just a name. If there is anymore written text in the manual, it would be worth posting a photo of.
