Looks like another Histoire & Collections potboiler to me. In my opinion, they make nice pretty books, but have a tendency to 'invent' and 'make things up' if and when it suits them. I woudn't trust a thing I read in one of their publications.

I'd say the stuff in this book is authentic, just not very deep in detail.

    Hello dear forum members
does anyone happen to have a PDF of Philippe Rio's book about the Soviet Soldier? I need some references regarding the equipment of soviet soldiers in WW2 (for example the M38 boots, page 79 in the book, and so on).
If someone could help me, it would be much apperciated.
    Thank you
    Best regards

Really enjoy this book. Go through it almost on a weekly basis haha. There are some mistakes in there and some postwar items depicted as wartime but in general a great book. Well worth buying!

I agree with Marcel. It is a must for every Soviet WWII/GPW militaria collector. Unfortunately, the book contains some mistakes.
For those interested, the book has already been published in five languages; English, French, German, Polish and Russian.
