Hello everyone! I would like to show you a piece of my collection, a ''rustic'' helmet from the Italian campaign, brought home by a NZ soldier as a war souvenir.

The helmet is very worn, shows signs of use and time. the inside stinks of old, the same smell that all my helmets have, personally found by me here in Italy, not by traders or collectors, but found in old abandoned houses or in the attics and garages of private individuals.

The eagle seems to have been "burned" with a flame, I think it was an alternative to scratching it off, for reasons of ordinance and / or mimetism.

Of course, every opinion and comment is welcome! Thank you all!

The 'dip' appears to be there, but I would love to see a frontal shot and other pictures which could be expanded.

Hello and thanks for your reply, what do you mean with the '' dip '' ?

Of course I will take some more photos in these days, taking advantage of the lockdown.

Can you upload larger photos. Can not expand to view the details. Also photos of the maker mark and lot # as well as the buckle

Does this has a slight camo pattern on it?

Looks like it stands a chance for me ... But always want to see better photos to be sure.

I start to insert the photos of the marks that are present on the ''interior edge'' of the helmet.

The 'dip' is the slight droop in the front rim when viewed from the front. Chinese versions do not have this.
