Just purchased this and would like opinions, looks like an unissued breadbag. The leather smells old (like old belts) dont know much about these and I believe the date stamp is 42.

It looks good to me. There are several folks here who can confirm and offer up an approximate construction date. NH

No not for cleanig kit....
Political and post war breadbags have 2 compartments on the inside.... wehrmacht bb’s only have one compartment.... hence my question.... couldn’t tell from the pics
