Can anyone ID this plate or sign??

I do now if this is even German, I bought it a few years ago from a digger in Eastern Europe
It's hard to make out, but in the upper left is "M" the center has a full size "P" and on the right is a "0" or "O"

Both the M and P are embossed in the metal, the O or 0 is not embossed, there are remains of some off white colour on all 3 letters, it
Looks like it might have bee reflective at some point, but as there is little left, it is hard to tell


Anyway does anyone have any idea what this is? Is it German or some other Country, I was told it was a Motorcycle plate..but who knows by the way it is made from alum. The plate is 6 1/2 inches long, however it looks like a piece may be missing, and it is 4 inches high
