I thought it was great for display and bought it. But I don’t know anything about it otherwise that it’s a medical kit from the wwii period.

I would say it looks like civil defense kit. But no my expertise
Santi
I agree with Santi, you can see Luftschutz Gastasche, meaning it is a civil defence/home front first aid kit.
Thank you both for the information!
Hello Gentlemen,
I agree, It is a First Aid Kit for GAS attack. The LUFTSCHUTZ is a NS german civil organisation to help the civil population especially after allied bombing.
Best regards from Alsace , France.
Carfin.
I think this is designated as the Luftschutz Gastasche für Ärzte, produced by E. Pohl & CO, Hamburg. It should be marked RL5-39/76. Nice find.
Not everything German from WW II was a "Nazi" item.
Sorry, I get kind of tired of hearing the uninformed calling everything German as "Nazi!"
Ralph.
Searching for anything relating to, Anton Boos, 934 Stamm. Kp. Pz. Erz. Abt. 7, 3 Kompanie, Panzer-Regiment 2, 16th Panzer-Division (My father)
I’m sorry, I didn’t intend to annoy you.
I still have to learn a lot and that’s one of the reasons I’m on this forum.
Excuse me for my mistake!
Happy new year and thanks a lot for your help
I agree but it is understandable if you are new to the hobby. As you are in UK you will appreciate my reference to "The Sun" newspaper which tends to lump everything WWII German together under the phrase "Nazi War Machine" therefore by declination even the last nut and bolt is from a "NAZI Panzer"
In fact Nazi = the National Socialist Party which was the regime in power and the military or Wehrmacht (Army/Heer, Navy/Kriegsmarine and Airforce/Luftwaffe) were national entities serving the government of the day rather than political entities related directly to the Nazi Party. Many people cannot or refuse to see the distinction but it is real if you study the history rather than the propaganda.
You haven't annoyed anyone, that occurs with persistence after the difference is pointed out which is what I believe Ralph was doing.
So, welcome to the forum, enjoy it and use the wealth of knowledge presented by the membership. I look forward to you contributing as you accumulate your own knowledge base. I think the fact that you are here now means you are already on the way to becoming as crazy as the rest of us
Regards
Mark

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing he cares more about than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature with no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."
