Re: German binoculars with neat twist
If they have good clear vision that is a very good price.

Re: German binoculars with neat twist
Thats a very good price for the binos and the case, with the added bonus of the luft and tricolour decals.

That is a great price if the optics are good, as Zwerge says.............!

Re: German binoculars with neat twist
I think I'll take them then. : )
I just hope they're still there when I go back. Thanks for all of your help guys.
Just one more question. Judging from these pictures, can any of you put an approximate date on the set? I would at least like to know if they are early, mid, or late war. My guess would be early.

Re: German binoculars with neat twist
Hello,
is this set was offered to me for $80, i would buy it within a second, even if optics are not clear. These are very nice bmk (Srb & Stys, Prague) binos which would diplay very well on a mannequin, and the bakelite carrier has been probably enhanced by the vet who took it at the end of the war (even if of course there is no way to be sure that it's was period done).
I like this set...
Is the carrying strap of the carrier complete ?
A genuine carrying strap only is rare and expensive...
Thanks

I think the use of letter codes is from after November 1940, so mid war might be more accurate, though it might be possible to work out from the serial number when they were made, but certainly some time after November 1940. The serial number looks to be relatively high, so they might be mid to late war.

Re: German binoculars with neat twist
I wouldn't even had started this thread to ask whether 8 tenners would be a good price or not...you'd have grabbed it at once!"Tempted"???Aw...c'mon Krieg! At this price this set is it's STOLEN,even if the lenses would be as clear as a coal mine at night!
